| I could have been on
a safari for diamonds, a rare white tiger, a missing child tearing thru coats and closets, tearing thru the mall retracing where I walked that Tuesday, wild to tear anything black from any one who walked near me: each woman a likely thief. It was there and then it wasn’t. It was as much a part of me as if someone ripped off as my hair. The cards are just hiding, waiting, glad the long holidays are done |
