| last night
while it rained I could hardly see out the windshield of my car as I drove along I saw more of smeared finger marks than the road in front of me now in preparation for a date I just went in to my car with a paper towel and rubbed out all the marks that have been blurring my vision and the last one I saw was on the passenger's side a big heart shape the woman I thought I would be marrying drew thick with her finger and I looked at it and rubbed it away what a mark she made I'll never see it again and the next woman to travel at my side will see only the open road. |
