| DEATH AND TAXES |

| They say the only things
certain in life are death and taxes and, sure enough, it must be true: Death is scratching at my back door and the bill collectors are pounding at the front door. I pry up the floor boards and claw the dirt trying for escape. Death snickers, makes an 'X' by my name as the worms crawl up my arms. The bill collectors grab shovels and dig. |
