| ***BIO*** I listen to Wilco more than my wife or conscience. I've had
poems recently appear in The Foliate Oak, Red Fez, Word Riot, decomP and others. No one is buying let alone reading my novel The Trinity and there is more info at my still very boring blog at davidlabounty.blogspot.com |

| You Can't Take This the Wrong Way |
| by David LaBounty |
| I can tell you're my age
but you've held it together you've kept it lean and tight and high and I'd have to guess that your body hasn't been wrecked or blessed by children or couches or fast food and probably not even animal fat and your face is smooth and white, wrinkle and make-up free and there are no middle aged scars or pock marks anywhere and yours is a pretty face on top of a smoking body so I don't know who gave you the goddamn right to put a stud in the side of your nose, something that looks like a zit that refuses to be popped. |
