Justin Hyde was born in and continues to live in Iowa.
He graduated high school by a very thin margin. Having absolutely no desire to work for a living, he went to junior college for a year before graduating from the University of Iowa by an equally thin margin.
His late teens and early twenties were spent trying to be a professional bicycle racer.
His mid twenties were spent shooting a-lot of pool, reading every philosophy book he could get his hands on, popping speed and having sex with strange women.
He started writing at the age of twenty-seven while living in his parent's basement during a severe downturn after failing spectacularly in the white collar world.
He currently works as a correctional officer.
His favorite hobby is getting lit with strangers at bars and untangling their narratives.
Justin believes poetry is more than a beer-shit but less than actually being there for someone.
Recently, he received a letter from the IRS asking why he hadn’t paid taxes in 2004 or 2005.
