| I am not a painter
I am a student I am a musician I am a coke addict but paint this house, the rotten wood white for survival. Getting high and sliding brown backgammon rocks, cannot pay my bills, cannot keep me stoned, cannot do much, except help me write bad checks for cheese steaks delivered to my home, across from the fire station. I’m nowhere near mountains nor the beach the only shells I know are not from the sea they are the ones left outside where my neighbor fired a few rounds through my wall just for the fuck of it-- Like being a painter that’s scared of heights I hang on, my dear life, arms hug the ladder’s rails, students walk, look up at my fuzzy peach ass holes in the back of my jeans while payday is not yet, spent on beer. |
