Mussels
by Josh Olsen
Even after a shower, my hands smelled like mussels – sweet onion and garlic, lemon, and the faintly vaginal odor of seawater.

I inhaled deeply, savoring the scent of my culinary accomplishment, but KT nearly heaved when I jumped into bed.

She hadn’t found my steamed bivalves as delectable as I, and her digestive track revolted with a vengeance.
