| ***BIO*** Jai Britton lives in the city of Calgary in the beautiful foothills of the Rocky Mountains. She doesn’t ski, nor does she care to learn. Although writing is her passion, autobiographies written in the third person often leave her with the feeling she gets before ordering something complicated at Starbucks. You can see a full list of her work on her blog, Scrivner. |

make me itch underneath the fingernails. Leaving you should be as painful as having me go, drinking as my tongue may not stain serves no purpose, fills no sweetness, bathes no thirst. When I go, notice my absence as the scar on your skin and the tart in your mouth. I will know then you have remembered me this once but have known me enough to laugh at eye tearing, eye wincing as proof of me making you suffer before I left the room because I was thirsty. |
