| the waste of your labor |

| maybe you’ve been here before,
sitting down with your pants at your ankles, sweating and grunting with a book opened on your lap that you really can’t read because you have to squeeze and squeeze and it feels like you’re trying to squeeze a golf ball out of a tube of toothpaste until finally, the book is closed you stand up, check the waste of your labor and it’s nothing more than a small turd floating in clean, clear water you flush it all away and realize that turd is something like your paycheck or even your life, you live and love and work and sweat and when it’s over your flesh and memories are simply flushed away. |
