Big Battle In The Small Minds  of The Small Press
by Doug Draime
Poet Z  hated
poet Q
because poet
Q had a blog
that was
always
attacking
poet Z
Of course,
poet Z
was always
attacking
anyone
that even
slightly
disagreed with
him
or challenged
his over inflated
ego.
Though, it
wasn’t
like poet Q
was special
or
something.
But poet Z
hated
poet Q
because
he thought
he (poet Z)
was special
or
something.
So, the battle
raged on
back & forth
in blogs &
e-mails,
dragging in
a whole
alphabet of other
small
minded
poets,
who took
sides
with their own
petty jealousies
& good
old boy
mentalities.
So, the
small press
trudges
forever
backward
eating its own
vomit
like a dog,
eating its own
tail
like a snake,
poisoned
by
its own
venom.
