Lumpy Bed

when the end of the world comes
I’ll probably be
in my girlfriend’s
lumpy bed

I need to buy her
a new mattress
my back hurts so bad
all’s I can think of
is the pain

when the end of the world comes
I’ll probably be
listening to
the snoring sounds
my girlfriend makes
when she’s
fast asleep

I press on her nose
to change the tone
I contemplate
pushing her onto
the hardwood floor
but I would never
harm a hair
on her head

I take one last look at
her big blue eyes
before I
turn off the lamp

I give her kisses on her cheeks
when she’s fast asleep
she doesn’t even know it

I stick my hand up her shirt and rub
her soft belly
when she’s fast asleep
she doesn’t even know it

sometimes I even
massage her breasts

I wonder if
I’ll be able to
re-live all of this
after I’m gone

when the world finally does
come to an end
I’ll probably be in
my girlfriend’s
lumpy bed
