| ***BIO*** KC Wilder is a poet trapped in a person's body. He is also the progenitor of fauxbrow, a new American art and writing that conflates lowbrow and fauvism with an edgy, dreamlike wonder. Wilder has two brand new CDs available on which he performs fauxbrow, a new style of poetry and music that originated with him. A musician and composer as well as poet, Wilder plays guitar on some of these tracks in addition to singing and reciting in collaboration with the amazing Acme Rocket Quartet. |

| a travesty of small proportions,
condescends my poems ingenius! blind to how his talents dangle something like a flaccid penis. his pens a stick uh licorice tied in self-important knots ostentatious scribble dee fop! bish bang boom bama loo bama lay married to his monstrous ego, screwed up in ten million ways ostentatious scribble dee fop! id be first to compliment a skillfully rendered piece he's done, but nowhere in this galaxy is the slightest hint of one. my suggestion to break free from the fingernail-on-blackboard tortures he calls poetry invoke some grand assailant a punitive divinity, pray for it to steamroll to dispatch him expeditiously! toxic sprays of imagery spewed out irresponsibly like dick cheney with birdshot, ostentatious scribble dee fop! 1 ____________________________________________ 1 This poem is primarily concerned with the unfortunate ubiquity of bad poets and bad poetry, a condition which shamefully constricts and in many instances completely eliminates opportunity for actual craftspeople. This shameful reference also brings up the crimes of dick cheney. Let us not forget that in addition to his crimes of invading a sovereign nation (iraq) and then lording over an extensive, systematic program of government-sanctioned torture, dick c. also personally picked up a rifle and blasted a fellow hunter while on a hunting trip in 2007. He has managed to get away with all of this law-breaking without even the remotest chance of his being brought to justice, demonstrating clearly that in the u.s. there are actually two sets of law 1. the commonly accepted law that applies to commoners and 2. a secret, deceitful set of laws that permits the ruling class to run roughshod over everyone else. |
