| in the bathroom,
the sun outside working in through the frosted glass. the cat sits on my shoulders trying to see what there is to see while I am busy pinching one off. I am unable to tell now as always where I end and the rest begins. outside, through the frost somewhere a city pushes into the wood I put my eyes there but cannot smell the bright expressions of children the moan and glorious hump of days. a congressman on pharisaic feet foots the streets, thinks himself a minor god, I think of him much differently, while staring down into the watery bowl wishing that the rest of it could be dealt with this easily. |
