Death Poem For Mikie
by Michael Grover
Death comes calling when & where it wants
Death's got all our numbers before this is through
Death is not a spectator sport
Death is bad for spectators
Death is bad for passers by in life
Death take away everything
Death give nothing
Death take you alone in your room
Death leaves you forgotten to swell up for days
Death brings a tear to the eye
Death brings a lot of regret
Death is a punch in the gut
Death kicks you in the teeth
Death touches us all sooner or later
Death never dials a wrong number
Death always has the last laugh
Death comes with a shot of heroin
Death is an alligator swimming in a canal
Death takes the young & old, rich & poor
Death doesn't discriminate
Death leaves people behind
Death will catch up in the end
Death is stray bullet
Death is a bomb dropped like a video game
Death slows you down more as you get older
Death you never used to stop that long to look at
Death it seems to dwell these days
Death piles of stuff in the hall
Death is that red & white cooler out in the hall
Death is that stack of garbage left after the vultures have picked your bones clean
Death that scent that comes out of the hall
Death always telling you you could be next
Death my neighbor across the hall scared to death
Death like a shape shifter takes many forms
Death just a seizure away
Death is clogged arteries
Death leaves no return address
Death is the the black crow swooping in
Death always has the last laugh
