| Morning Zeus |
| by J. D. Nelson |
| Water sprites were swirling
all around the kitchen. Crowe wondered if the rabbit could see them. The old bird twiddled the knobs of the broken breakfast radio. Yellow Rabbit sat straight up & lapped jazz. He'd been having trouble sleeping ever since the bat attack. Miles ran the voodoo down as teacups crashed into imaginary walls. News from Tokyo, Toledo? Nothing but tick-marks and computerized tones. He'd had it with mechanical contraptions! "I'm going down to the Radio Hut for a smoothie and a new radio," said Yellow Rabbit as he wadded up a pile of dollar bills & adjusted his genitals. It's going to be a long walk, he thought to himself, better take a light bulb. |
