| ***BIO*** Dennis Lepe, 22 yrs old,and I am a student at Riverside City College in Riverside, CA. I was the lead singer in an unknown indie rock band called "From Now Till 47," before I went to college. Although being apart of a band has long ended my days of songwritting, it has been my natural bridge to poetry. |

| Beneath my hair I am in my own middle school locker room, and all of you,
including my priest, are all my sort of popular bullies waiting for my face and the afterschool it could scar a new mouth from. This is the almighty premise of all circular religions. To die with rock pebbles in your mouth and celebrate each bedtime to whatever isn’t there in a job application. For I can drink plenty of water and know that I’ll die with the vocabulary I’ve just built cleaning my bedroom window looking out onto a collage of familiar faces against a false skyline. All I’ve ate today was a cheese sandwich I don’t believe in human beings and a perpetual sky. More things were accomplished today in the name of national sovereignty. More earrings were driven-in where there was only cartilage and your son’s big-boy skin. Predictably he jumps from the bedroom ceiling onto his very own perception of what walls are made from the cast enveloping his childhood’s broken dream. Plaster of Paris for everyone who needs the strength of multiple signatures in design for a certain "I am remembered." To wear a handheld mirror across my face for what are the opposite landscapes of everyday distances, yet after a few minutes of ‘never better, I died trying. |
