No Chance
by Damion Hamilton
Perhaps you are bored as I think of this
Perhaps you feel dead as I was working
This day and that day
And I am a child with a beard and a massive face
Thinking that this is what becomes of men and
Women when they grow up?
I haven’t been able to grow
Have you been able to grow?
What are we doing tapping keyboards with our fingers?
And packing boxes with our hands
All the long hard day
A few of us have brains,
And what do you have when you take away our minds
That’s a task of a few men somewhere
And it’s not too good I am depraved
And it’s not too good that I can not speak
To my fellow workers
While my mind and my nerves are at war
Most things are small as my ambition
Goes through a needle like thread
It’s not too good while waiting
And having the lions, jackals, hyenas and vultures
Wildly in pursuit of one
I hope that something gets them
Anything accept them getting me
