| Ode to my Lips |
| by Michele McDannold |
| Let me introduce you to my
lips. Bloated, red things they are plastic, wet dipped in paint. Lost in artistic rendition of a perfect kiss. I'll test your sense ability to perceive where men have wept at flesh, (wrapped around) crooked. morsels gobbled up like sweets; then flung away with their semen, their soldering irons on lax skin. Oh, there were odes to the scoundrels. Demands for explanations challenged our justifications, trespassers. Call me a tramp. you'll love me- a snake that calls itself a tongue. |
