| Man makes telephone wires, and somehow squirrels
have adapted to this, and walk across them without being electrocuted Man makes cars, and somehow they have learned to avoid the wheels and speed of these machines, even though a few will be squashed occasionally Squirrels are smarter than humans; they don't drive cars, they try to avoid them Humans like the squirrel have seen too much: wars, famines, epidemics; but we must adapt, like the squirrel, making it's way to the curb, and up a tree, with acorns in it's mouth trembling |
