Her Laughter A Tickle
by Alison Eastley
There's a space where Eros
elbows in, digging them
in the ribs, his famous bow
and arrow thrown with leftover
history under the bed.

Psyche paces the floor.
She's been left in the dark.
It feels like torture. Her mouth
is dry, her thoughts
accusations falling like water

when the woman laughed
Psyche wants to know
why did it tickle the man's
fancy idea that this is no joke.
And when will Eros come home?
