| Jukebox Conversations |
| by Dagny Nogy |
| Beneath the dirty table in the dirty bar,
he touches the dirty girl with rotting teeth, grinning - not exposing her decaying mouth full of smoke and coke, betrayals and secrets. And the songs blare their jukebox conversations, resounding the harmonious confessions of their nauseous desire, no other lover suspect, as they nod to the beat of betrayal. Opportunely they merge, a hasty collision with the already battered wall in the bathroom thick with the stench of urine and vomit and sweat. They revel in their diseased knowledge, damp, high, drunk, infected - like a filthy demon fresh from a slaughter clutching in his talons the bleeding heart of his prey still beating to the sick melody of deceit. |
