the ad induced wild ideas of a mom
of three. running around

i settled into a cig
dumbly staring at the adjascent apt. complex.

studio city simmered
on a sat. night.
most my smoke rings
rolled out broken.
and i was reminded
of the small talk moments before

i'd recounted how many plastic bags
i've wasted as a sheathe

making them work.
