| My neighbors’ love making,
or my neighbors’ fucking, wakes me at 2:00 am, I do not hear squeaky bedsprings, or the headboard beating against the wall – it is not the suggestion of sex. A female voice exhales, “Ohhh, yes… Ohhh…Ya…Ohhhhhh… Yes…Yes…Yes…” Waves of pleasure made audible. O s ... O s h e h e h, y h, y I am the microphone used to record the sounds of staged sex – held high above the bed. The act is now documented, which means that it may be analyzed and, thus, criticized. My criticism: too loud. |
