t. kilgore splake (the “cliffs dancer”) lives above the omphale art gallery in the ghost copper mining village of calumet, in michigan’s upper peninsula. last year “thunder sandwich” publishers produced backwater graybeard twilight, a l92-page collection of the best of splake poems, short stories, and black-and-white photography.
splake has published numerous poetry and prose chapbooks, the most notable titles are the kerouac upper peninsula diary, cliffs, and rainbow diary. splake’s most recent chapbook production evergreen was completed in february of this year.
this spring, summer, and fall, the artist splake has an ambitious photography agenda. he hopes to enlarge his color inventory to balance the work that he has done with the black-and-white filming medium. |
