| PASSING TIME IN A DOCTOR’S OFFICE |

| In the clinic’s waiting room I’m a patient, ergo, the root origin of the word patience. I’ve scanned all the doctor’s periodicals, some dating back to the Bay of Pigs Invasion. To pass the time I make up games of fantasy imagining the sexual proclivities of fellow patients like that woman across the room there, prim and proper, knees together, purse on her lap. What connubial delight did she perform last night? If I had a clipboard and white coat, I’d play doctor with this crowd. May I have your attention please?
