***BIO*** Philip Hoffman: I was born somewhere in the Rust Belt, but consider Cleveland my home. In between delivering packages on my bike, drinking beers and moving around the country I have been able to soak up a little formal education here and there. Besides for short stories, I am currently working on a my first novel, and some poetry from time to time.  If you want to contact me try polkacityskates@earthlink.net

Photo Show
by Philip Hoffman
I saw Ginsberg back in 89 at one of his photo shows.

He was crossing over, poet, photographer, rockstar.

The pictures were good, I was just getting into Kerouac, Burroughs and the rest.

The  reading was not: to much like a game show host gone mad.

Kerouac and Cassady were dead, Burroughs was old and Bukowski was still underrated:

Allen was king.

My girl got an autograph: I asked, and got a hug.

Never got a chance to meet Buk.

Feel like the guy who wanted to see the Stones and got the Monkees.
