“You didn’t ask me if I’d ever cheated on anyone, you asked me if I had cheated on my wife.”

“What’s the difference?”

“That’s a big fucking difference.”

She sits forward and grabs the full glass from the coffee table. “Come on, just have one miserable glass Mr. Hood—I mean Terence, of course I mean Terence, but what’s the difference, you know? They both mean the same person, they both mean you.”

“It makes it more obvious that I’m an adult and you’re a child and that I shouldn’t be here while you’re doing this.”

“Oh I’m not a child, I might’ve only turned eighteen today but I could fuck your brains out better than your wife ever could, I’m sure.”

He bolts off of the couch and turns on her. “Why did you say that to me?”

“Because I could! I know you want to, I’m just saying that I could.”

“I do not want to anymore. I do not. We’ve talked about this.” He can see down her shirt. He can’t look away.

“Oh sure we’re friends Mr. Terence, but I know that for some split seconds now and then you want to. That’s okay. Everyone wants to. It’s okay and all.”

“What’s okay?”

“Wanting to fuck somebody. Hey, at first, when I just thought you were a pervert, I  liked Paul a bit, I would’ve done him.”

“Would you stop it!”

“But then when I confronted him about stuff—he saw me smoking in the parking lot and I went over there to yell at him, I don’t know if he told you this—he kissed me and I made out with him for a minute or so but then I thought Gross and I left.”

“My brother kissed you?” He tries to concentrate on the curve of her neck that blends into her shoulder.

“And pushed me against the wall and felt me up, yeah. It was nice for a sec but then I didn’t like it anymore.”

“Are you lying? Are you making this up? How drunk are you?” Every inch of her says the same thing to him.
