i’ll go downtown to drink whiskey and beer until the few bills crumpled in my wallet are tucked away safely inside a cash register then i’ll come home trip up my porch stairs and lay on the ground smoking a cigarette before i go inside and sit on my bed anticipating a phone call that never arrives |
