| in my fur-lined room:
do you think of cotton candy & holding hands? washing up in the tidal pool before dinner: woman of the pelicans, daughter of the sea mist, our red-haired guardian angel, make it safe for men to be men and cook meat on fire. meanwhile, I digest & think of tea, not a cigarette. care to join me at the hip spot, where a stray note might escape? (a little green parakeet realizing that there is no cage?) slippery sandpaper licks a little feather-head ready & the little guy might as well be a ripe banana now. lick your chimp fingers later -- this is a story about the sea gal. melted chocolate from a land called Mexico -- here are some of those olives you love so much. imagine me, calling out your name all night, with the sound of my heart attack bleeding through these speakers. I paid someone a handsome sand dollar to snap a shot of me in axiom. I'd rather live on the beach than go through that again. she left an extra blanket on my doorstep. I have to finish the portrait of the faceless man for her birthday. she says that she's going to quit smoking. I haven't even started yet. |
