| Break the seal |
| by Jennifer VanBuren |
| Are you ready to break the seal,
drown in the first scent that escapes our opening? Dare to taste flavor that permeates plastic wrap peeled back in pulsed anticipation of tongue? So wanting of consumption we willing accept, once broken, the inevitable decay will begin. Maybe just a little more time under glass protected from mold spore landings and black flies that wait? Baby, we always looked so good pressed against the glass tight wrapped and vacuum packed. Our drool drips at the first sound of crinkled candy wrapper. small bites, baby, promise me small bites Fluid friction, knowledge, desire fast dissolve us to sugar sharp edge to cut a greedy tongue and gum. Can we admit and accept love as a perishable item? Are you ready to break that seal? Baby, we always looked so good behind glass. |
