Why Women Go to the Bathroom in Groups
by Kathleen Paul-Flanagan
So when we walk
across the restaurant
we can pretend the dirty old men
leering at us aren't there

So we can check
each other's noses
for visible snot
make sure our hair is perfect

in case the psycho killer
we've been told about

is hiding in the stall
next to ours

but mostly so we can talk
about what assholes
men are
