| New Years 2001 "The real millennium" |
| by Philip Hoffman |
| My girl and I decided to get the hell out of Cleveland for New Years a few years ago.
We headed to Niagara Falls; It was only 4 hours away. I was always surprised how many Native Clevelanders had never made the trip. They supposedly have a great fireworks show over the frozen falls every year. We decided to go to the casino and play craps instead; the tables would be less crowded then. I love Canadian money. It always reminds me of Monopoly, and you get a lot more in exchange. I feel like a winner before we even begin to play. I won about $50, she won $1500; she pats my ass sometimes, and still won't let me forget. I am either good at the horses or the dice but never both at the same time. I took my winning and bought a couple Cuban cigars. I never really smoked Cigars, but how often can you get Cubans? Customs took one on the way back in. I still had one left. I forgot about it, until today, and finally lit it up. I realized I really like Cuban cigars. I think, some time soon, I need to make another trip. |
