Someone Has Made A Wish In Hell

I heard the first
slap, saw the second
and felt the kiss
that followed that
was supposed to be
filled with passion.

I did not know
what this couple
where doing; a
stage show or
re-enactment
of some kind

but she had red
underwear that
unintentionally
showed above
her jeans.

Love in any situation.

Love at any cost.

falling through the
trees down the vine

maybe they’ll land
standing, maybe they’ll
be eaten by everything
on the ground

maybe they will
conquer the here
and now

for luck therein
nothing could
surpass and
letting go
and

falling

off the edge
could be the
constant pain
that is

subdued.
