David Barker is the author of dozens of chapbooks of poetry and short stories.  In the 1970s, while earning his Master's degree in English from CSULB, he became involved in the Los Angeles area poetry scene.  His memoir of that time, CHARLES BUKOWSKI SPIT IN MY FACE, was reprinted in the anthology, DRINKING WITH BUKOWSKI.  His latest collection, THE LUNCH HOUR POEMS, is due from Bottle Of Smoke Press in early 2004.  David lives with his family in Oregon where he works as a computer database manager.
