Ross Runfola is a maverick attorney, professor and poet. After winning the Greater Buffalo Poetry Slam in 1995 he called Poetry Slams poor spectacles where bad poets compete for chump change and refused to do any more. Runfola is a featured poetry reader who usually confronts his audience verbally and at times physically. He is proud to be banned from a number of politite cafe` poetry venues and the corporate book monster Borders. Like his muse Charles Bukowski he does not submit poetry to
"cute" academic posey journals. He will have
his poems published in "The Charles Bukowski Review" and the "German Annual Bukowski Reader" in early 2004. |
