The Crash
by Stephen J Golds
I crashed
The fork
            Lift
Truck
Into beam, iron beam
Metal scattered like small tears of metal failure
The blokes I worked with
Gathered to berate me

I put the fork
                        Lift
Truck into esrever
And
Sped away

Thinking
I’m a goddamn poet genius

Fuck work
Fuck the world

Thinking
I’ll still clock in
Tomorrow though
