| Play for Me |
| by David Fraser |
| Those times when we both move
about the place, dimensions apart, shapes, bat wing flutter in the corner of an eye, lost in solitary self- absorbing interest; not so much now in each other as once we melted together, hot and full of sweat. Some times during one of those moments I want to stop, walk across the room to study you, say "Patsy, I'll watch you paint. Patsy, play for me. Play songs of haunting sadness, of injured birds set free." |
