highway headlights taking her for a ride in my cartoon car flames & rubber hubcaps rollin and I’m drinkin happy shhhhh … don’t tell anybody keep the whiskey on yer lap be cool, baby blow a kiss at the cops with your cosmic gold lipstick and hellfire, lightning, visions of Jesus steering a flying saucer down four-lane blacktop, honey, we’re gone beyond the crossroads the hidden secret inside the cactus cuz you’re rockin my voodoo, chica bonita you’re fuckin out o’ sight you’re crazy fine like unexpected jazz on the radio go anywhere with you, girl, Kansas City Boston Sacramento anywhere where the road is long and smooth and black and turn on headlights and you can turn on your headlights and the coyotes will sing and the skeletons of the night desert will dance like happy banditos full of hot sauce & cheap tequila the stars above revealing underground messages as the phantom winds record the sound of our laughter rollin down the road cuz we’re rockin that voodoo, baby and you like it that way. |
